Dundee United goalkeeper Josh Donaldson has arrived for a trial with Arsenal ahead of a potential transfer in January says reports.
Donaldson, 15, is rated as a huge talent and the Gunners have moved to bring him down to London for a closer look ahead of a deal.
The 15 year old made his debut for his country against Switzerland and was named man of the match. He went on to play six times for Scotland in total, including two games in Qatar.
Daily Record reported that Manchester United were also interested in the youngsters service, though it is not yet known if they will make an attempt to snatch him away from under Arsenal’s nose.
Donaldson, the Scotland U15 international is with the Gunners now on a trial with the view of signing in the New Year and Manchester City are closely monitoring his development.
Donaldson has had previous spells with Heart and Rangers in the past and was surprisingly overlooked for a place in the recent Scotland U16 squad to participate in the victory shield. It caused a few English teams to raise eye brow especially as Donaldson was a regular at the U15 level for his country.
He would be under a good coach if he gets to sign for Arsene Wenger’s side; as Wenger is regarded as one of the best coaches when it comes to grooming young talents and giving them a shot at first team opportunities in Cup games.
