1. Ozil is finally helping us forget Fabregas

The match against Blues saw the return of former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas to the Emirates Stadium for the first time since joining Chelsea.

While his return in Chelsea’s colours was hurting to some, other Arsenal fans made use of the meeting to compare both Cesc and Ozil’s performance and contribution to their various teams. It was very clear that Mesut Ozil had more impact for his side in the game compared to Chelsea’s Fabregas.

2. Wenger is very close to ending his losing streak against Mourinho

A depressing fact Arsene Wenger has had to deal with is that he is yet to beat Jose Mourinho in any competition after several attempts.

But after the game last weekend at the Emirates, Wenger will know that the duel between he and Mourinho is no longer a one-sided affair and that he is closer than ever to getting his first victory.

3. We are ready to fight for the League title next season

For Wenger and Arsenal fans, beating Chelsea was more than just Wenger getting his first ever win against Mourinho.

Prior to the match, many had suggested that the outcome of the game will go a long way to show Arsenal’s preparedness to push for the Premier League title next term.  And a win on the day would lay down a perfect marker ahead of next season.

Arsenal didn’t win the game. However, the display, hunger and drive the team showed on the day, has got many fans believing that the team is ready to fight for the League title next season.
