Alexis Sanchez has left his future in the hands of his agent as he focuses on the confederation cup with Chile.
The 28 year old has been heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates as he enters into the final year of his contract. Manchester City, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have all been linked with the forward but Arsenal have warned they won’t sell him to a rival.
As a result Bayern Munich have emerged as frontrunners for his signature. While the player is open to the idea of remaining in London or moving to Manchester City, his agent and Arsenal would prefer to do business with Bayern Munich.
The German giants have now received a big boost after Sanchez revealed that his future now rests in the hand of his agent. According to The Telegraph, the striker’s agent is expected to resume negotiations over a new contract with Arsenal and if an agreement cannot be reached, the player’s camp would then explore the possibility of moving to Bayern.
“I’m looking at what my agent is doing,” Sanchez said.
“For now, I’m focused on the [Confederations] Cup in Russia and trying to do well. The truth is that my agent will see to it. He knows and he will sit down with the club to look for the best option for me. I’d like a lot of things but I’m only thinking about the national team.”
Arsenal are reportedly prepared to make Sanchez it’s highest paid player by offering him a new deal close to the £300,000 a week mark but Bayern are willing to dwarf that figure by meeting the player’s £350,000.
