Granit Xhaka insists he is happy with his start to life in the Premier League.
The Switzerland international completed a £33m move from Borussia Monchengladbach in May amidst huge fanfare.
The midfielder has only started 11 games in all competitons this season. He was expected to command a more starring role in the team due to his hefty price tag but he has been in and out of the squad and the midfielder has now defended his start to life at Arsenal, claiming it is normal.
“Well, actually, it’s normal when you come to a new club and country,” The Mirror quotes Xhaka as saying. “You need to get used to the language, the philosophy of the team, the squad, the coach.
“But I do feel very happy and comfortable here, and I know the potential I have. In football you just have to develop yourself.”
Xhaka’s situation is understandable considering he plays in a position where there is competition the most in Arsenal squad.
Despite starting few games, the player has shown his qualities and also showed that he has the potential to develop into a key player for us in the future.
The Switzerland international has scored two goals in as many games for Arsenal this season and i’m sure there is no Arsenal fan who isn’t happy with the contribution he has made so far.
Although we know he can do better, he will need time to completely adjust to the rigorous of the PL and i’m sure we will see a better player when he does.
