Arsenal are weighing up a summer move to sign Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto, according to his agent.
Arsenal have so far made two summer acquisitions – Sead Kolasinac from Schalke and Alexandre Lacazette, who cost a club-record £52.7million from Lyon.
A proven midfielder that can add strength to the team has been identified as a priority by Arsene Wenger.
Monaco star Thomas Lemar remains their top target, but despite talk of a deal being close, nothing has been firmed up.
The Gunners were considering a move for Jankto back in April, and had scouts to run the rule over him several times last season
Juventus and Inter Milan are supposedly interested in a deal for the 21-year-old, who enjoyed his breakthrough campaign at Udinese last term.
And now his agent, Beppe Riso, has confirmed Arsenal are in the mix for his signature.
“Arsenal like him, he’s a lover of English football, and he’s also liked by Juve, Inter and other teams,” Riso told Sportitalia.
“Do I see him more in the Premier League than other leagues? Yes.
“Still, he’s young, he’s 21 years old, he must be calm and he’s only thinking about Udinese.”
Jankto netted five times in 29 Serie A appearances for Udinese last term.
He is under contract with the club until 2021.
