Arsenal and Liverpool have made bids for Real Madrid playmaker Marco Asensio, according to reports.

Asensio enjoyed a breakthrough season at Madrid last term, playing a key role in Madrid’s La Liga and Champions League triumphs. He caught the attention of other clubs in the process and has become one of Spain’s most sought after youngsters.

Arsenal and Liverpool are two of the numerous clubs who hold a long-term interest in the forward and Spanish publication Diario Gol via the Daily Star are claiming Arsenal have now made a move for Asensio.

They claim we have made a bid to sign the playmaker as Wenger continues his search for a winger. However, we aren’t the only ones to make a move for Asensio, as Liverpool and Juventus are said to have made their moves also.

Asensio is a very talented and versatile lad who can play anywhere behind the centre forward and Wenger who is a big fan of versatile players would be very happy to have him at the Emirates, if the opportunity arises.

The report claims, Asensio ideally doesn’t want to leave the Bernabeu after just one season but could be tempted to seek a new challenge if Zidane fails to Guarantee him regular football.  Maybe, just maybe Arsenal have a chance of signing the forward then.
