Djibril Sidibe has penned a new five-year deal with the club despite been linked with a move from Monaco.

Arsenal and Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for the talented full-back

Monaco announced on Thursday that Sidibe had committed his future to the Ligue 1 champions, bringing an end to the pursuit of any suitors.

And a statement released on Monaco’s official site read: “Monaco are happy to announce the extension of the contract of Djibril Sidibe, who is now tied to the club until June 2022.”

Sidibe said of his new contract: “I’m proud and honoured to wear this shirt. It’s the reward for the hard work done during the season, collectively and individually.”
