Arsenal summer signing Alexandre Lacazette has undergone a left knee surgery and is set to miss out on Arsenal’s Thursday clash in the round of 32 of the Europa League clash against Swedish side Ostersunds.

The Gunners officially announced the France international underwent an arthroscopy on his left knee in London on Tuesday morning.

The minor surgery was a success but the former Lyon star must now undergo a period of rehabilitation.

The Gunners travel to Sweden for the first leg this week before the return fixture on Thursday February 22.

Arsenal are found short up front as new January signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is inegiblibe for the competition, meaning Danny Welbeck may lead the attack.
