Bayern Munich are interested in signing Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny, according to reports in Germany.

The German club have been monitoring the defender since 2014 and they believe the player currently has one year left in his contract.

According to German publication, Bayern are looking to table a bid for Koscielny with the impression that the player has just one year left in his Arsenal contract.

However, the German side would be disappointed as Standard Sport claims the defender still has three years left in his Arsenal contract.

Arsenal are not prepared to lose Koscielny this summer and will reject Bayern’s advances to sign the French international.

Bayern defender Medhi Benatia is being linked with a move away from the Alianz Arena and Bayern see Koscielny as a perfect replacement.

Benatia has been linked with a move to the Emirates this summer as Wenger searches for a new partner for Koscielny.

Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for Koscielny as Zidane sees the Arsenal man as a replacement for Rafael Varane who is also being linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

The Gunners finished second last season and Koscielny was an integral part of the team and the defender still remains a key part of Wenger’s future plans.
