Report on Thursday claims Arsenal have reportedly offered a contract to fomer player Oguzhan Ozyakup with the 25-year-old’s contact with Besiktas set to expire in the summer.
Aksam claim that the Frenchman has already spoken to Ozyakup, 25, about a summer moved to the Emirates, and that Arsenal have in fact offered the midfielder a contract, with his current deal in Turkey set to expire in the summer.
Granit Xhaka has not lived up to his £35 million price-tag at Arsenal, whilst Mohamed Elneny is simply not good enough. Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey are unreliable from a fitness perspective, and Santi Cazorla has not played since October 2016.
The addition of another central midfielder will surely be an absolute must for Arsenal this summer, and the 25-year-old Turkey international would be a useful signing.
Ozyakup spent four years at the Emirates earlier on in his career, so returning to north London would not require much settling-in time, and with no transfer fee needed, bringing the Turk to the Emirates will be a totally risk-free move for Wenger.
