Arsenal will not sell Lucas Perez for less than £10.5m, according to the forward’s agent.
Perez who is expected to leave the Emirates this summer is being linked with a return back to his homeland with Real Betis and Deportivo La Coruna keen on his services.
Fenerbahce are also keen on signing him but unlike their counterparts in Spain, they can’t afford to sign the striker permanently and are only looking for a temporary deal.
However, Lucas agent has now revealed that Arsenal will only consider a sale. He further claimed a deal hasn’t be strucked yet because Arsenal are determined to recoup a sizable portion of the £19m we spent on him last summer. As a result, a £10.5m price tag has been placed on the striker.
The agent told Spanish publication AS via The Daily Cannon:
“Arsenal want to make up part of the money that they paid Deportivo the Coruña last summer, the club has paid 21 million euros (£18.6m) for Lucas, and I think they are willing to accept a figure of around 12 million euros (£10.6m) for his departure .”
Apparently, none of the interested clubs are willing to pay up to that amount for the striker. Fenerbahce want him on loan while Deportivo La Coruna have already revealed that their chances of signing the striker is remote because of finances.
It is unlikely that Arsenal will go lesser than the figure it’s already demanding, should nothing happen, a loan deal could become the best option.
