Ricardo Rodriguez agent has dismissed rumors linking his client with a move to the Emirates in the winter transfer window.
Last week, reports claimed the defender was a target of Arsenal and Manchester united with the two Premier League clubs interested in signing a left back but his agent has dismissed those reports, claiming his client is focused on Wolfsburg and isn’t seeking a move away.
It was suggested that Wolfsburg are open to selling some of their best players which includes Rodriguez in January due to financial crisis.
The Bundesliga club have not been doing well on the pitch also and only sit two points above the relegation zone, meaning most of their star players could jump at the chance of moving to a big club but Rodriguez’s agent Gianluca Di Domenico insists his client is not considering a move away from the Bundesliga club.
“Ricardo is usually the object of transfer speculation, but it’s time to put an end to these stories,” Gianluca Di Domenico said in quotes reported by HITC Sports. “Ricardo is only focused on Wolfsburg.”
I always had doubts about the credibility of the initial report that linked the defender with a move to Arsenal considering we have quality options at left back already and we have no urgent reason to change it mid-season.
Rodriguez has been linked with Arsenal in the last three windows and I think this is just a case of some desperate media houses trying to re-harsh old speculations to sell papers
The player could as well leave Wolfsburg in January but I doubt if Wenger will be making a move for him.
