Agent Insists Arsenal Second January Target Won’t Come Cheap

Arsenal have been dealt a major blow in the race to sign Croatia midfielder Marcelo Brozovic as the player’s agent has revealed that the player wouldn’t move to the Emirates on a cheap, as per the Daily Express.

The Gunners have been linked with a move to sign the midfielder from Inter Milan and were reportedly prepared to offer as much as £18m to sign the 23 year old.

But Inter Boss Roberto Mancini last week revealed that the Serie A giants are not interested in selling the midfielder and Brozovic’s agent Miroslav Bicanic has talked up the player’s future.

Speaking to Calciomercato, Bicanic said:

“Now he’s at the top. This is seen also by other clubs, Spanish and English.

“The Premier League clubs know him very well, and believe he can improve a lot in the next few years, but they also know that he’s not cheap.

“Marcelo is happy at Inter, playing well, the fans love him, everyone at the club believes in him, Milan is fantastic. So we think of a transfer only when Inter will give the green light.

“Prior to that he is focused only on Inter matches and how to achieve the best possible results this season.”

Brozovic joined Inter Milan on an 18 month loan deal last summer and the Milan club is set to sign the 23 year old on a permanent deal this month.
