Arsenal are reportedly monitoring AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca ahead of a potential summer swoop. The player’s agent has now revealed he is always in contact with Milan amid speculations linking his client with a move away from the club.

Wenger is reportedly in search of a top striker this summer and it is believed Bacca is one of the numerous targets on Wenger’s wish list. His agent Sergio Barila has confirmed clubs have contacted him regarding a summer move for the striker.

Speaking about the striker’s future, Barila insists his client his happy at the San Siro but admits he is unsure of what the summer holds.

“Milan signed him to score goals, and that’s what he’s doing,” Sergio said as quoted by the Daily Express.

“Carlos is calm, he wants to win the Coppa Italia and qualify for next year’s Europa League.

“I often speak with Milan, and they tell me they’re happy with him. He still has many years on his contract with the Rossoneri.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen in the summer, but Bacca’s idea and that of the club was that of rebuilding a new Milan that would be great in Europe. At least that’s what they signed for.

“We’ll have to see whether the player or the club change their minds on that. Many teams asked about him in January, even in China.

“But Bacca told us that he wanted to stay in Milan. Recently these teams contacted me again with a view to the next transfer market.

“It’s only normal that top teams should be after a great player like him.”

The Gunners are being prized out of the race to sign Higuain, Aubameyang and Ibrahimovic while Morata could spark a bidding amongst about four Premier League clubs.

Wenger could then turn to Bacca as his most realistic options should he be in dire need of a forward.
