Arsenal have been offered the chance to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, according to reports.
The Senegalese defender has been linked with a move to the Emirates with reports claiming the defender is top of Wenger’s wish list.
According to Goal via the Daily Star, Koulibaly is seeking a move away from the Serie A club and his agent has offered him to a lot of clubs across Europe.
The report claims Arsenal are one of the clubs that was offered the defender.
Wenger is keen on signing a young quality defender this summer and Koulibaly fits the bill.
The defender is believed to be seeking an improved contract at Napoli but is yet to reach an agreement with the Serie A club.
Chelsea and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the Senegal international and are expected to register their interest in the defender’s services.
Napoli are reluctant to sell and have placed a £38m price tag on the player should they be forced to sell.
Arsenal are expected to complete the signing of Bolton’s 20 year old centre back Rob Holding this week but the young defender is not expected to go into the starting xi immediately, hence there would still be space for a top defender like Koulibaly.
