Kylian Mbappe has decided to join Real Madrid this summer despite Wenger’s efforts to bring him to the Emirates.
Mbappe has become one of the most sought after players in this summer’s transfer window, after establishing himself as Europe’s brightest prospect last season.
Arsenal, Real Madrid, PSG, Manchester United and Manchester City have all been linked with the forward, with some clubs already offering as much as €130m.
The Gunners are one of those clubs to have reportedly made huge bids to sign the striker as Wenger is desperate to land him as a marquee signing.
However, we are now set to suffer huge disappoint in the race to sign the French man.
According to The Marca via The Metro, Mbappe has set his heart on joining Real Madrid this summer.
The report claims the French striker will only listen to offers from the Spanish giants or remain at Monaco.
Wenger had hoped to convince the striker to move to the Emirates by offering him the chance of being the club’s main man but that seems not to have worked well as Madrid are now favorites for his services.
Considering we have been monitoring Mbappe for a long time, I don’t expect Wenger to give up on his signature easily, we could still make a last ditch attempt to wrestle him from Madrid’s grasps. Who knows? We might be successful.
