Arsene Wenger will have Mesut Ozil available to face Chelsea after the German international missed the goalless draw due to a minor foot problem.
The Arsenal boss is also hopeful that Alexis Sanchez will be available for selection, although having not played since November 29, the Chilean may initially be utilised off the bench.
Theo Walcott looks set to continue on the left of the attacking midfield trio in Wenger’s favoured 4-2-3-1 formation, with Joel Campbell perhaps getting the nod ahead of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the right, with Olivier Giroud again named as the lone striker.
Mathieu Flamini is expected to partner Aaron Ramsey in the double-pivot, though new signing Mohamed Elneny offers an alternative in the middle of the park.
The back four of Hector Bellerin, Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal should remain unchanged.
Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla and Tomas Rosicky all remain on the sidelines for the Gunners, but Francis Coquelin (knee) is ahead of schedule, while Danny Welbeck (knee) should soon be fit to return to training.
