Chelsea have been installed as favorites to sign Alexis Sanchez next summer, following reports that Antonio Conte is keeping a close watch on the forward’s contract situation at the Emirates.

Arsenal are struggling to agree a contract extension with Sanchez despite opening talks with the forward since August. Reports claim talks have reached a stalemate due to the player’s outrageous demands and Chelsea are now hoping to swoop for his services next summer if he doesn’t agree a new deal by then.

The West London side are not the only ones reportedly keeping tabs on the forward’s situation with Manchester City and Juventus also believed to be watching with keen interest.

Bookmakers Ladbrokes [via The Daily Star] have now installed Antonio Conte’s side as favorites to sign the Chilean. They are placed at 4/1 to become Sanchez’s next club while Manchester City and Manchester United follow closely at 5/1 and 6/1 respectively.

Juventus are also in the race to sign the forward and are placed at 8/1 to sign the Chilean.

Ladbrokes spokesperson Dave Burin said: “Gooners could be in for a fresh dose of transfer woe, with the odds tumbling on yet another Emirates hero jumping ship for a bitter rival.”

Well, I do not see the possibility of Sanchez joining a rival club even if he doesn’t sign a new deal with us. Wenger doesn’t sell a player to a rival club anymore and I don’t expect him to start with Sanchez again.

We have lost a fair share of players to rival clubs in the past and we at Arsenal firmly believe that era is over.

Arsenal are confident the Chilean will sign a new deal but as it is with every top player, we will have to remain patient a little.
