Arsenal midfielder Josh Dasilva has joined Championship side Brentford.
The midfielder has completed a move to Griffin Park and has reportedly put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal with the Bees.
According to reports, the 19-year-old turned down a new contract to continue playing for the Gunners.
Brentford chief Dean Smith has expressed his delight over joining the Championship side.
Smith described the 19-year-old as “excellent football”. The manager praised the player’s personality and believes he has a huge potential to turn big.
Smith believes the Bees have all it takes in bigging the midfielder and harnessing his huge potential on the pitch.
He told the club’s official website: “Josh is a player who fits Brentford really well. He has huge potential, is an excellent footballer with a great personality and wants to continue his development by working hard every day. We liked what we saw and feel that we can help
Josh to develop and in turn he will help our squad improve.”
The Greater London outfit finished 9th in the Championship last season.
They have reached the FA quarter-finals on four occasions and have ended up as runners-up of the Football League on three occasions.
Josh, who is a product of Arsenal academy, racked up only three senior team appearances for Arsenal in all competitions last season.
