Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal are looking into the possibility of signing Leicester U21 left back Ben Chilwell and have stepped up their interest in the 18-year-old who is on loan at Huddersfield, after it was reported by Yorkshire Evening Post that they sent scouts to watch him play against Rotherdam.
The youngster who has been putting in impressive performances for Leicester’s U21 was loaned to Huddersfield last month to gain some first team football experience, having never made a first team appearance for Leicester City.
He has performed impressively so far, and has reignited Arsenal’s interest, and also that of their rivals Tottenham.
The gunners have been tracking him for a while, and increased their interest when he was named Leciester’s Youth Player of the Year. They look to add him to their impressive list of wonderkids in the youth team, with the likes of Chris Willock, Danny Crowley, Gideon Zelalem, and Krystian Belik all in the youth team at Arsenal.
Chilwell is currently an England youth international and has gotten a shirt number in Leicester’s first team. He may not be far from the first team if he completes the move to Arsenal, with Nacho Monreal turning 30.
