West Ham are interested in taking Carl Jenkinson on loan next month, according to reports.
Jenkinson has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal and has found himself behind Hector Bellerin, Mathieu Debuchy and even Gabriel Paulista who is a centre back in Wenger’s right back pecking order.
The defender’s situation at the Emirates has now alerted other clubs who have now registered their interest in signing the defender.
According to Standard Sport, West Ham are one of the clubs interested in the defender.
The Hammers are looking to take the 24 year old defender on loan for the third time in his career, after a successful first two spells with the player.
Hull City, Swansea City and Aston Villa are other clubs interested in signing the defender but it is Villa who are actually leading the race to sign the defender.
West Ham are hoping to gazump the Championship club to his signature but we will have to wait to find out if they will be successful.
Jenkinson last featured in Arsenal’s EFL defeat to Southampton in November and it doesn’t look like he will play for Arsenal at any point this season after our exit from the competition.
A loan move now seem like the best option for the defender as it will help him play regularly and relaunch his career.
Jenkinson has featured 38 times in the Premier League since he moved to the Emirates in 2011.
