Arsenal midfield star has been blasted by Gunners star striker following his poor performances in recent weeks.
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry believes Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is not doing enough to merit a place in the Gunners starting eleven.
The midfielder who is currently finding life difficult at the Emirates is reportedly unhappy with his position in the squad and Henry has claimed he needs to work hard as he is not currently doing enough to get a place in the starting line up.
“Is Oxlade-Chamberlain doing enough? I personally don’t think so,” said the Arsenal legend. “I think that he is a talent, no doubt about it.
“He plays for England, he is at Arsenal for a reason, but I think he didn’t put a stamp on the team saying ‘this is my position’. You need to want it.”
The midfielder has made just nine league start for the Gunners this season despite injuries to key players and his first goal in over sixteen months came in a 2-0 win over Bournemouth few weeks ago.
Chamberlain has been linked with a move to Chelsea as the Blues reportedly search for a replacement for Eden Hazard who could leave the club next season.
The midfielder who is highly rated at the Emirates joined Arsenal from Southampton in 2011 and his current contract at the club expires in 2018.
