According to reports in France, Monaco have told Arsenal they must pay £55million for winger Thomas Lemar.

The French giants will sell the France international, 21, but only if Arsenal come up with big cash to get him.

Arsene Wenger is certainly open to the idea of splashing the cash this summer, and with his unending interest in signing Lemar, the boss could yet again break his record transfer fee for a second time this summer.

News of Monaco demanding £55m for the transfer of Lemar will come as good development, with previous reports claiming the French Champions are holding out for £80m for the creative goalscoring winger.

The question now is, will Arsene pay Monaco’s asking fee to secure his signing after having already reached an agreement on personal terms and weekly wages with Lemar in earlier reports some weeks ago.

Although, other reports are claiming Wenger will sanction the club record deal and see Lemar move to the Emirates as soon as possible.
