Deportivo La Coruna are closing in on the signature of Lucas Perez, according to reports.
The Spanish club has been the most keen on Perez so far and have already had two bids for the striker rejected by Arsenal.
The striker is expected to leave the Emirates this summer and a return to his former club Deportivo is still the likeliest outcome.
Perez’s agent has been so vocal about Deportivo’s interest in his client and the player’s desire to return to the club where he made his name and it appears the player is now close to getting his wish granted.
According to the Mirror, Perez is set to join Deportivo.
This shouldn’t be surprising to us because it’s been coming all these while but the fact that he will be joining them on loan is baffling.
According to the report, the Spanish side will sign Perez on loan with an option to buy for £10m next summer.
It is claimed that Deportivo will pay a hefty loan price for the striker this summer, which means Arsenal could be able to get close to the £13.4m valuation it placed on the striker.
Like Perez, Arsenal are also looking to ship out Kieran Gibbs, Calum Chambers and Carl Jenkinson and are hoping to reach an agreement with potential buyers over their transfer.
