Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has received very encouraging news in his bid to sign Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
The midfielder who is on loan at Inter Milan from Dynamo Zagreb has been scouted extensive by the Gunners in 2015 with several reports even claiming Arsenal were waiting for his move to San Siro to be made permanent before making their offer following encourage comments made by the player’s camp.
The midfielder’s agent had confirmed that Brozovic was interesting Premier League sides. ‘Premier League clubs know him very well, they believe he can improve a lot in the next few years,’ Miroslav Bicanic told Calciomercato.
‘So we’ll only think of a transfer if Inter give the green light. Until then, he’s focused on Inter matches, and how to get the best possible results this season”
Inter boss Mancini however warned his side weren’t looking to sell him.
“Brozovic is integrating really well,” Mancini said. “I think if he were to continue like this he would become one of the best ever.
“We don’t want to sell him, even in the face of a great offer. He must work, but he has incredible quality.
“No one has asked to be sold. For the moment, everything remains the same “
The cash strapped Italian side who are currently under punishment for breaking Financial Fair Play rules seem to have changed their stance with Calciomercato via the Metro now reporting that Inter are willing to sell the Croatian international to the Gunners for a fee of £15.2m.
With Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini and Thomas Rosicky all set to leave when their contracts come to an end in the summer, Brozovic seems to be heading to the Emirates this year.
