Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal’s pursuit of Porto Midfielder Ruben Neves has suffered a huge blow after the midfielder ended any speculations of a move to the Premier League in a press conference.
The young midfielder has achieved a lot in a short career, making his debut last year at the age of 17 after coming through the youth ranks. He has become a regular in a talented Porto side and even became the youngest captain in the Champions league history when he skippered his side at the age of 18 back in October.
This progress has brought about serious interests from Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal, but he has put an end to any chance of moving after he announced that he is happy at Porto and wants to win titles for with them.
“Yes, it’s possible that I will end my career at FC Porto,” he said. “I’m happy at the club and I’m focused on improving every day to reach my goals, which include winning titles with FC Porto, my favorite club.”
This would come as a blow to Arsenal who were looking to bring him in as a replacement for injured Coquelin.
