Arsenal are reportedly set to step up their hunt for Lyon striker Nabil Fekir this summer.
Fekir was strongly linked with a move to the North Londoners during the January transfer window, while Spanish champions Barcelona were also credited with an interest in the player.
But, French newspaper Football 365 suggests that Arsenal’s chief rival for Fekir’s signature will now come from AC Milan after Barca pulled out of the hunt due to already having too many players in his place.
The Frenchman has socred directly to 30 goals in just 37 appearances across all tournaments this campaign, netting 22 times and assisting another eight to help Lyon battle for the second spot in Ligue 1.
Arsenal are believed to have been quoted £60m for Fekir in January. However that asking price has since dropped significantly with Lyon now rating the attacker at closer to £35m.
However, Fekir is believed to favour a transfer to a Champions League club, which could scupper Arsenal’s wishes if they fail to win the Europa League this season.
