Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Not a day passes without Arsenal being linked with a move for a new player. Well in this case, the player is not technically a new one as the Gunners have now been linked with a move for a former player.
The Gunners are reported to be readying an offer for Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup. According to Milliyet via Metro , Arsenal are making a £9.3m bid for his services.
Ozyakup, 23, signed for the Gunners in 2008 from AZ Alkmar as a fifteen year old and went on to spend four years in North London. The player made his debut in the League cup match against Shrewsbury Town before leaving for his homeland signing for Besiktas in 2012 after failing to break into the first team.
Ozyakup seems to have been let go far too soon, as the player is progressing and developing at an alarming rate making him a sort of late bloomer. The midfielder who is still to approach the peak of his career has already earned himself fifteen caps little wonder Wenger is understandably keen.
The playmaker has unsurprisingly been on song again this season helping himself to a modest five goals and six assists this term.
