Arsenal are reportedly in talks with Bordeaux over a possible sale of exciting Brazilian winger Malcolm before the end of month.
Malcolm, 20, has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium. According to Daily Star, the Brazilian winger could be signed by Wenger in January as there is a negotiation currently ongoing between Arsenal’s representatives and the player’s agent.
Malcolm is currently on fine form for the Ligue 1 side. He has scored seven goals with two assists in 18 appearances so far this season.
He is believed to cost Arsenal £25million, but it is yet to be seen if Wenger is ready to spend that much on a 20-year-old. The youngster is also a Manchester United target, and he might have an array of top clubs to choose from before the end of the winter transfer window.
Arsenal are also in talks with Monaco over the possibility of getting Thomas Lemar who is also Liverpools target. Arsenal could lose Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in the summer as they both refused to extend their contracts with the North London club.
The French manager will be hoping that his players played to their best ability against Chelsea when they battle the Blues in the Carabao Cup later today. Wenger’s team already know that Carabao Cup is another chance of winning a trophy this season as they are still actively involved in Europa League.
The Gunners were surprisingly defeated by Nottingham Forest last Sunday and Wenger who is under fire knows that today’s tie against the Premier League Champions will go a long way to determine the future of his job.
