Serie A champions Juventus, and Inter Milan are reportedly keen on signing Arsenal attacker Olivier Giroud.
The 31-year-old came close to leaving the North Londoners this summer, revealing recently that he had turned down a transfer to Premier League opponents Everton because of “a certain attachment” to Arsene Wenger’s team.
As reported by the Calciomercato, both Juve and Inter will both be in the market for new forwards next summer and have put the Frenchman “high on their shortlist” of candidates.
Giroud is believed to be unwilling to leave Arsenal this campaign in case it has an impact on his possibilities of playing for his country at next term’s World Cup in Russia, however, would consider leaving the Emirates ahead of next campaign.
The ex Montpellier striker has 100 goals in 237 games in all tournaments since his 2012 transfer from the Ligue 1 giants.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are closely watching the development of MLS midfielder Miguel Almiron, reports say
The Paraguay international has drawn the attention of several high profile sides after a wonderful start to life in the MLS. Almiron moved to the MLS newcomers Atlanta United FC from the Argentinian league in a £12million contract and has been an instant hit. The 23-year-old has netted nine goals and made nine assists in 30 games for his new side, who have been the surprise package of the MLS campaign.
Calciomercato suggests Arsenal have been watching Almiron’s displays carefully, as has Italian side Inter. The attacking player has helped Atlanta’s frontman Josef Martinez hit 18 goals, and both Inter and Arsenal have been massively impressed with Almiron’s performances. Almiron is now believed to be worth as much as £18m which would represent a big investment for a footballer from the MLS.
Premier League giants rarely dip into the American transfer market and few MLS stars crossing the Atlantic make a success of themselves in Europe. A muscle damage has kept Almiron out of his club’s last three matches and Paraguay’s last World Cup qualifier.
