Arsenal could splash the cash again when the transfer window opens with report suggesting they stand a chance of getting Leon Bailey from Bundesliga side Bayern Leverkusen.
According to the Die Werkself’s sporting director Jonas Boldt, the 20-year-old attacker is highly rated by the club, and they won’t let him join any club for a fee less than £97million in the summer. Boldt further revealed that Bailey is in the same class as Ousmane Dembele who joined Barcelona last summer for a fee of £97m.
Leon Bailey 20, is currently in fine form after his turbulent start to the season due to some personal issues. He has been directly involved in 15 goals this season, scoring 10 and assisting five.
Arsenal and Barcelona are also linked with the starlet who has been tipped as the future of Jamaican football by fans and pundits.
It is believed that Leverkusen are not ready to part way with the wonderkid, thereby asking huge price from interested clubs. The Blues are yet to make any comments about their interest in the player as there is enough time before the commencement of the summer transfer window.
The youngster will hope the Blues win the race for his services as he dreamt of playing in the Premier League while growing up.
“Of course I have a dream club, but I will not tell. Basically, England was and still is my dream,” he told Bild
