Swansea City have joined West Ham United in the race for Jack Wilshere’s signature, according to reports.
Earlier in the week, reports claimed the midfielder has been told he can find a new club, after Wenger lost patience with him over his inability to stay fit.
Wilshere who featured just 17 times in the Premier League for Arsenal before he was sent out on loan to Bournemouth last summer is currently out with a leg injury he sustained in March and Arsenal aren’t willing to keep a player who keeps getting injured on its book.
Unluckily for the player, his contract expires at the end of next season and Arsenal do not intend to offer him a new deal.
And according to the Daily Telegraph via Wales.online, Swansea are considering a move for the 26 year old.
West Ham have also been linked with the midfielder who spent part of his teenage years with them but are yet to make a concrete move.
Arsenal recently rejected a £7.5m bid from Sampdoria for Wilshere, with Wenger demanding three times the Italians offered.
Arsenal will only listen to an offer in the region of £20m for Wilshere and that shouldn’t be too much for Swansea who just spent £11m on Roque Mesa
A player of Wilshere’s quality will definitely be an asset for any club and a big loss for Arsenal but Wenger’s decision to want to sell him isn’t entirely surprising.
