Arsenal are now prepared to land Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani.
According to popular Spanish media outlet Fichajes, Arsenal are looking for a quality forward this summer have added long time target Cavani to their striker wish-list despite Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema being strongly linked in recent weeks.
The report says Benzema remain the Gunners main striker target, but the north London club are weighing up a move for Cavani should they fail in their bid to convince Benzema to make the switch to the Emirates this summer.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is huge fan of Cavani and reports now say he’s ready to move in to sign up the 28-year-old Uruguayan international this summer.
The reports also added that PSG would seemingly be willing to listen to offers for the sensational striker, with Cavani’s relationship with manager Laurent Blanc at a real low following series of misunderstandings over the centre forward’s position at the French capital club.
Cavani scored 78 goals in 104 appearances during his short stint with Napoli and has been tipped to be an instant success at Arsenal should a deal materialise.
