Arsenal are one of the clubs interested in Bayern Munich striker Robert lewandowski, according to reports.
Wenger is reportedly keen on signing a top striker this summer and has set his sight on Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe. However, the high competition for the French man’s signature has forced Wenger to keep his options open and now we are one of the clubs sniffing around Lewandowski.
The Poland international recently revealed he is unhappy at Bayern, claiming his teammates didn’t do enough to help him win last season’s Bundesliga highest goal scorer award.
This has led to reports linking him to the Premier League.
Initial reports claimed it is Manchester United and Chelsea who are keen on the Poland international but Starsports understands that it is Arsenal and not Man Utd who are keeping tabs on Lewandowski’s situation.
Arsenal have made bids for both Lacazette and Mbappe but are now keeping tabs on Lewandowski.
The 28 year old striker scored 43 goals for Bayern last term, with 30 of those coming in the league. Signing a striker who has been able to consistently produce such number of goals every season will excite Arsenal fans but we’d have a lot to do to get him as Bayern are not willing to listen to offers for their star man.
