The destination of Arsenal right back Mathieu Debuchy seems to have been confirmed at long last. The defender has being linked with a move to several clubs on temporary basis.
Its the Villains who seem to have worn the race after the Daily Star reports Villa manager Remi Garde is confident that Debuchy would be his first signing, according to the Daily Star.
Gunners boss had revealed that the defender was set to leave “Yes, he [Debuchy] might go somewhere, we don’t know where at the moment,” Wenger told a press conference ahead of the FA Cup fourth round clash with Burnley.
“That decision has to be made quickly, there are only 48 hours to go. He has much interest [in him], but I have a number of people who can play right-back so I open to door for him at the moment. It is better for him because he doesn’t play.”
The France international only moved from Newcastle to Arsenal in 2014 but has found playing time at a premium having lost his place in the first team to Hector Bellerin.
Debuchy who has made just 5 appearances for the Gunners this term had also long declared his desire to make a move during the current window.
