Jamie Redknapp has revealed what he thinks about Arsenal fans protest. The former Liverpool man believes the aggrieved fans are just wasting their time as he doesn’t believe any kind of demonstration will be enough to force Wenger out of the club.
“I’ve covered the last three Arsenal matches and seeing their fans right now is like watching a teenage break-up,” he said in his Daily Mail column, via the Express.
“Some want a clean break from Arsene Wenger but there’s still a lot of love there and most of them are willing to give it one more try.
“Wenger is saying nothing to suggest he will walk away and the club are not going to get rid of him.
“The demonstration was a waste of time but with Wenger the more people tell him to do something, the more resistant he becomes, particularly with transfers.
“It’s obvious that Arsenal needed more firepower. Olivier Giroud hasn’t scored for 15 league games in the most important part of the season.
“And I didn’t like Alexis Sanchez’s reaction to being subbed off [against Norwich]. It was a show of disharmony that we never normally associate with Wenger’s squads.
“It’s when these kind of issues become obvious to the fans that you’ve got problems. The trouble for Wenger right now is his mistakes are obvious to everybody.”
