Good news coming out of Portugal are suggesting that Arsenal have been given the green light to approach one of Arsene Wenger’s recent most admired forwards.
Reports according to Sport per the Metro, claims that Arsenal have been cleared to approach Porto hitman Jackson Martinez this summer after the Portuguese club began their search for a replacement.
Martinez is arguably Porto’s most prized asset, and he has very well proved it this season in Porto’s brilliant march to the Champions League quarter-finals this term, where he scored seven goals in seven games for the club.
The 28-year-old’s brilliant performance in the last two seasons has placed many of Europe’s elite club on red alert for his signature.
The report also say that Porto have resigned to losing the striker this summer and are already looking for his replacement.
Wenger is said to be preparing a team that would fight for major trophies next season and Martinez has been tipped to add more strength upfront as well as more goals for the Gunners next term.
