Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign French striker Anthony Koura, according to reports.
The Gunners are reportedly in talks with France Ligue 2 side Olympique Nimes over the services of their striker Koura.
Arsenal have a record of signing talented French youngsters and the Gunners scout have identified yet another target.
The striker has been impressive for Nimes this season scoring nine goals already and his performances have attracted a host of clubs within and outside France.
Monaco, Newcastle, Sunderland and Stoke are all interested in the striker but Arsenal lead the race to sign the player perhaps due to the strong scouting network Wenger has built in France over the years.
The striker who is out with a back injury until April is close to completing a move to Arsenal and it is believed that a fee of about £1.6m could see the deal happen as soon as possible, according to French football via the Daily Star.
Should Koura complete the move to Arsenal, he will be following the footsteps of Yaya Sanogo who left Auxerre in Ligue 2 for Arsenal in 2013. But we will be hoping Koura becomes an instant hit at the Emirates.
