Arsenal and Manchester City are set to battle it out for Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, according to reports.
The Gunners has been linked with a move to sign the Sevilla midfield enforcer since last summer and Wenger is reportedly watching the midfielder again ahead of a summer move.
The Gunners are preparing for a major Overhaul of their midfield and Wenger has identified a host of midfield targets and Krychiowak has emerged one of those targets.
According to the Sun, Arsenal and Manchester City are set to go head to head in the race to sign the midfielder when the transfer window opens in July.
Incoming Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is also preparing to shake up the midfield at Etihad and has also identified Krychowiak as a potential summer target.
Arsenal boss considered signing Krychowiak in the January transfer window after the Sevilla man was recommended by the club’s scout but Wenger opted for Elneny instead.
With Arteta and Flamini set to leave the club next summer, Wenger would definitely consider Krychowiak again.
Sevilla are only prepared to let the midfielder leave when they receive a bid of £25m. Real Madrid and Juventus have also enquired about the player and could join in the race to sign the midfielder.
