AS Roma and AC Milan have joined the race to sign Jack Wilshere, according to the Daily Cannon.
Wilshere has been put up for sale by Wenger who has become frustrated with his inability to stay fit. With less than a year left in his contract, Arsenal believe this is the perfect opportunity to get the midfielder off its books.
Newcastle United and Juventus have already been linked with the player but none of them are yet to make a concrete offer for the 25 year old.
They will now face competition from Milan and Roma, who are big admirers of the midfielder.
Wilshere was left out of Arsenal’s squad that faced Leicester City on Friday, with Wenger claiming it was as a result of injury but the midfielder featured for the club’s U23 on Tuesday.
Apparently, Wilshere isn’t part of Wenger’s plans anymore and would have to leave in order to get his career back on track.
Arsenal have reportedly placed a £20m price tag on the midfielder who is already into the final year of his contract already.
Milan have spent big this summer after their recent takeover and wouldn’t have a problem paying that much for Wilshere. However, the same can’t be said of Roma, who are known for running on a strict budget.
