Arsenal are said to have joined the race to sign highly rated Bristol City youngster Lloyd Kelly in January according to the Mirror.
The Gunners are desperate to secure a top four spot this season after missing out on the Champions League for two straight seasons.
They have impressed under new manager Unai Emery this season conceding only three defeats in the league so far this season with the last one coming at the weekend against Southampton as their run of 22 games unbeaten came to an end.
However, on the defensive side, they have been less than impressive, having conceded over 20 goals already in the league this season, and defensive reinforcement is now seen as a priority.
Arsenal are now understood to be looking to sign Lloyd Kelly who would very likely be one for the future from Bristol City.
The 20-year-old has been impressive in the Championship this season, catching the attention of the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United as well.
The Gunners are currently in the middle of a defensive injury crisis, with Rob Holding out for the season, Kostas Mavropanos, Mustafi, and Hector Bellerin all currently injured.
The Gunners have had to play Granit Xhaka at center back in their last two games and should they move for Lloyd in January, his path to the first team doesn’t seem to be too crowded at the moment.
