Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the
second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal are close to signing Paris Saint Germain midfieler Adrien Rabiot, according to the Metro.
The Gunners have been watching the midfielder since last season and stepped up their interest in the central midfielder after he told his club he wants to leave in January.
The Metro via the sun claims that Arsenal are keen to open talks with PSG over the sale of the £10m rated mifielder as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his side for the second half of the season.
The report also claims Rabiot is willing to tell his club he wants to join Arsenal and should the Gunners put forward an official bid, he will push for a move to North London.
The Gunners are currently in need of a central midfielder after losing both Francis Coquelin and Santi Carzola to knee injuries which ruled the duo out of action until March. The Gunners have been linked with a number of central midfielders with their top target Ruben Neves ruling out a switch to the Emirates, the Gunners are set to move swiftly for Rabiot.
Rabiot have been linked with Chelsea and Tottenham in the past.
Rabiot has already told his club his intentions to leave in January, although the club is adamant that he will not be sold but the 20 year old has set his heart on a move away from Paris.
