Arsenal are reportedly still chasing the signature of Real Madrid star Karim Benzema and are said to have already made a €40million bid for the striker, according to reports in Span, as translated by Sport Witness.
Both Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested in the player, but Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo are keen to keep hold of the Frenchman.
It is believed, however, that Florentino Perez would be willing to sell Benzema and would be open to accepting a reported offer of €60million made by Dortmund for his services.
Benzema himself would reportedly only want to leave Real Madrid if it was to join a Premier League club.
Arsenal have long been reported interested in bringing Benzema to the Premier League, with the player’s agent said to be ‘well aware’ of the interest from the club in his player.
The 30-year-old has struggled for form this season, so far scoring just five La Liga goals.
