Arsenal Midfield Star Devastated Following Latest Injury Blow – Confirms Wenger

Arsenal midfielder is reportedly devastated with the recent injury he suffered against Burnley on Saturday, according to the Gunner’s boss via the Independent.

Midfield Maestro Tomas Rosicky who is out of contract at the end of the season suffered a thigh injury minutes into the game against Burnley and his manager has revealed that the veteran is set to be sidelined again for at least one month.

“He’s devastated. Unbelievable,” Wenger said of Rosicky’s latest injury woe.

“Nobody understands [how he got injured]. I told him straight away after half-time to warm-up. I observed him, he’s very conscientious Tomas, he did sprint and sprint and sprint.

“He comes on, after three minutes he got the injury. I looked at him and thought ‘Tomas you do not run properly’ because he didn’t lift his legs and he lost some balls, I was amazed because he is top level technically.

“He told me after the game that he did it straight away, then I understood why that happened to him. He said ‘I stayed on because you couldn’t change anymore’. He warmed up well, for 20 minutes.”

“He’s such a good player but his career has been disrupted by so many injuries.

“He was born in 1980, he’s 36 [in October], it’s difficult for him. Let’s hope we have good news, that it is not as bad as feared.”

The midfielder moved to the Emirates from Borussia Dortmund in 2006 and at 36, his may have played his last game for the Gunners.

Although he could return in time before the end of the season but should the Gunners be in the title race at that time, Wenger could decide not to alter his first xi so much which could ultimately see the Czech republic international being left out in the cold.
