Olivier Giroud odds of joining Borussia Dortmund have been slashed as Arsenal look to use him as part-exchange for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Frenchman is just 5/4 to join the Bundesliga side with Sun Bets as Dortmund will want to sign him if they lose Aubameyang to the Gunners.
It’s believed Dortmund are demanding Giroud in return for selling their star striker to Arsenal.
The Gunners and Dortmund are locked in negotiations as both look to resolve the situation ahead of the transfer deadline.
Wenger is eyeing more firepower to add to the arrival of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, following the departure of Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United.
Meanwhile Dortmund can offer Giroud more frequent game time, which is something Wenger has failed to give him in recent months.
And with the World Cup in the summer, the forward will be desperate to pick up some form to put him in contention to make Didier Deschamps’ line up.
Although Sun Bets have Giroud as more likely to stay at Arsenal at 3/5 than move on in this window.
Sun Bets spokesman Tim Reynolds said: “Olivier Giroud has cut a frustrated figure in recent months after being starved of game time under Arsene Wenger.
“Despite the Gunners’ lack of form at stages of this season, he has not been trusted to be given a run in the first team.
“And with the World Cup only around the corner he will be determined to do all he can to make the competition.
“Also with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, Giroud will be knocked further down the pecking order and Dortmund would be the easy way out.”
