The Express claims Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri may be aware of Arsenal’s interest but he will not leave the Serie A giants this summer to replace Arsene Wenger who has left after 22 years in charge.

Allegri has emerged as one of the frontrunners to manage Arsenal next season with Emirates chiefs in search of Arsene Wenger’s successor.

The Italian has enjoyed an incredible stint at Juventus, winning Serie A and Copa Italia doubles for the past four years and reaching two Champions League finals.

Arsenal fans would be hoping he could repeat even just a portion of that success if he was to head to north London this summer.

According to Gianluca Vialli is backing Allegri to mimic United legend Alex Ferguson by staying at Juventus for the long-haul though.

“Today, footballers are like brand names,” Vialli told Italian newspaper La Stampa. “A coach has to take this into account.

“I do not think Allegri is looking for stimulation elsewhere. Sometimes Ferguson may have thought about it, but he was at the same club for more than 25 years.

“Maybe one day we’ll talk about Allegri as ‘Sir Max’. It is not easy to leave Juventus because it is hard to find somewhere better.”
