Arsene Wenger seems interested in strengthening his defense this summer. The French man has been linked with a move to sign a centre back, he is also thought to be monitoring a left back and according to recent reports in Germany, Wenger has made move to sign a right sided defender.
According to Bild via 101greatgoals, Wenger is interested in signing Bayern Munich right back Rafinha and have offered the Brazilian a three year deal.
Rafinha currently has one year left in his Bayern Munich contract and Wenger wants the fullback to swap the Alianz Arena for the Emirates.
Spanish youngster Hector Bellerin is currently the club’s undisputed right back and Rafinha’s arrival is unlikely to change the situation. The Brazilian is likely to replace Mathieu Debuchy who joined Bordeaux on loan in the January transfer window, with the Frenchman likely to seek for a permanent move this summer hence the reason Wenger is searching for a right back to challenge Bellerin.
Rafinha has made over 113 appearances for Bayern since 2011 scoring two goals.
