Arsene Wenger has returned back to France for Monaco left winger Thomas Lemar with a second offer after seeing a £30m bid rejected.
Lemar has three years remaining on his current contract and the French club are under no obligation to cash in, but the Gunners have tabled a €45m offer to try to force the issue, L’Equipe reports.
The Sun says a long-term deal of around £90,000-a-week has been agreed between the Gunners and the player’s representatives.
Lemar was signed from Caen for just £4m two years ago.
