Arsene Wenger has placed contract talks with midfield star Jack Wilshere on hold, according to reports.

The midfielder who just came back from a knee injury has barely featured for the club this season.

This hasn’t stopped the 24 year old from being mischievous off the pitch as he was recently embroiled in a police investigation over a fight outside a club in London recently.

This is not the first time the midfielder has been on the news over bad off-pitch behaviour but the club is said to be disappointed and embarrassed over his recent headliner.

The midfielder allegedly threw a punch during the fight that occurred at about 3am on a Sunday morning, a claim which the 24 year old has denied.

The police have begun investigations into the incident and Wilshere was pictured talking to the Police on Sunday denying the allegations.

However, Wenger is reportedly unhappy with the player over his conduct and the Frenchman has now put contract talks on hold, according to the Sun.

The club is reportedly unhappy with the midfielder for being out early in the morning during his recovery from the injury he sustained last summer.

Wilshere has two years left in his current deal worth £80,000 a week and negotiations had already begun before the incident.
