Arsenal have stepped up its attempts to sign Lille winger Sofiane Boufal, according to reports.
Wenger has been linked with a number of wingers as he attempts to improve the squad this summer and the latest on the list is is Sofiane Boufal.
The Lille attacker is expected to leave the French club this summer and after his superb performances last season, the player has attracted the attention of top clubs.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona have been linked with the Lille winger but according to recent reports, Arsenal are set to move ahead of its rivals in the race to sign the player.
According to Guardian Journalist Ed Aarons, Arsenal will hold talks with the player’s agent this week to discuss the possibility of a summer move.
The Journalist also added that we are going to face competition from Premier League rivals as Chelsea and Southampton will also hold talks with the player’s agent.
Arsenal scouts have been keeping tabs on the the forward for sometime and Wenger is said to be impressed with the 22 year old. He is expected to cost at least €25m, a fee which won’t be too much for a Premier League club.
